Study Abroad

Roughly half of Lafayette mechanical engineering students choose to study abroad. In addition to opportunities to travel for short-term study abroad courses in the January or May interim terms, students are encouraged to apply for a semester of study abroad. Lafayette actively supports semester-long programs for sophomore engineering students in Bremen, Germany, and Madrid, Spain, by sending Lafayette faculty members to teach courses and accompany students on cultural excursions.
